The closest place to get your car tested is in Kiryat Malachi. At the light by the second entrance to Kiryat Malachi, turn left like you are going to the BIG shopping center. Turn left at the traffic circle. Turn left into the test centerat about 500 meters. Park your car and go into the little office on the right to get the test paper and then get in your car and get in line.

They check exhaust, brakes, lights, oil leaks, etc. It takes approx. 15 for the test itself. The wait before the test can be 15-30 min. No appointments necessary. Some recommend to bring the car to your mechanic first so he can do all of the checks and fix things before you go to the test. The test is approx. 100 shekels. If they find something wrong that you have to fix, you have to go back for a retest which costs 20 shekels each time.
